The session will run from 11am - 12.30pm. Please meet at the Hollin Bank Car Park below Stanage Edge, S32 1BR. Please remember to pay for your parking - £2.50 for 2 hours.

If you would like to attend please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by 5pm Thursday 26th December so that we can ensure we have enough coaches available to comply with safety rations and have enough maps available.

Parents who wish to accompany their children on the activities are encouraged or alternatively are very welcome to join the adult's group and have a go themselves. Children under 8 and those who aren't yet able to complete a white course on their own must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Please remember that you tend to go slower when training so wear plenty of layers and full leg cover and bring a water bottle, waterproofs and gloves.

Cost is £3 per session to non-members, free to club members.

Venue Details

This is a new area for 2020.  The initial map is Stanage Plantation, which despite its name has no regimented spruce but a variety of trees, primarily beech and pine.   The plantation includes runnable woodland and intricately mapped rock features.

Safety & risk

A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event. If a competitor has a pre-existing medical condition that they think should be declared, please complete a medical form at enquiries. The sealed envelope will only be opened in an emergency.
