A Club Training event at Sandall Beat

There is a coaching and training session on Sunday 9th June at Sandall Beat.  Experienced orienteers will enjoy the runability of the forest and the navigational challenge of intricately mapped vegetation while newcomers and younger juniors are well catered for with the extensive path and ditch network. Sessions are suitable for all ages and abilities.

Please meet at the car park, here at the end of Sandall Beat Road. Nearest postcode DN2 6JP.

The session will run from 1pm to 2.30pm. Please arrive by 12.45pm so we can start promptly at 1pm.

Parents who wish to accompany their children on the activities are encouraged or alternatively are very welcome to join the adults' group and have a go themselves. Children under 8 and those who can’t complete a white course on their own must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All participants should wear full leg cover, sturdy footwear and should bring a water bottle and waterproofs. 

Cost is £3 per session to non-members, free to club members.

Flat but attractive runnable woodland.

Safety & risk

A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event. If a competitor has a pre-existing medical condition that they think should be declared, please complete a medical form at enquiries. The sealed envelope will only be opened in an emergency.
