Coaching for All
A Club Training event at Graves Park
On Sat 18th Nov 2017 from 13:00
SYO are running a coaching and training session on Saturday 18th Noveber at Graves Park. It is an extensive park with a good path network. The wide open spaces are interspersed with wooded valleys containing old mineral workings which provide a small area of interesting contour detail.
Please park in the car park at the end of Charles Ashmore Road (S8 8GJ), here.
If you would like to attend please email Pauline by Friday 17th November at 12 noon so that we have enough coaches available to comply with safety rations and know what resources to prepare.
The sessions will start at 1pm. Please arrive by 12.50pm so we can get started by 1pm. Parents who wish to accompany their children on the activities are encouraged or alternatively are very welcome to join the adult's group and have a go themselves. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All participants should wear full leg cover and sturdy footwear and should bring a water bottle. Gloves, hat and a waterproof also advised.
Cost will be £3 per session to non-members, free to club members.
Graves park is Sheffield’s largest park and arguably provides the widest variety of orienteering terrain. As well as a good path network and open spaces, there are wooded valleys, steepening at the west, with old mineral workings providing a small area of interesting contour detail.
Non-orienteering attractions include a café and a rare-breeds animal farm.More details about Graves Park...
