Junior and Adult Coaching at Wheata Woods

SYO are running a coaching session for beginner and improver orienteers on Saturday 23rd April in Wheata Woods, Grenoside. Please park in the car park off Woodhead Road here.
The sessions will start at 1pm. Please try to arrive by 12.50pm so we can get started by 1pm. Group 1 will finish at 2pm, all other groups at 2.30pm. Parents who wish to accompany their children on the activities are encouraged.
Cost will be £3 per session to non-members, free to club members.
Group 1 (TD1/2) suitable for children age 7 upwards, who are beginning orienteering. (younger children who are club members and are accompanied by an adult are also welcome)
Group 2 (TD3) suitable for children who confidently run yellow courses independently on all areas.
Group 3 (TD4) suitable for children who confidently run orange courses independently on all areas.
Group 4 (TD3+) suitable for all adults from beginners to the more experienced who want to brush up on their technique.
Wheata Woods is a pleasant area of deciduous urban woodland on the outskirts of Sheffield. It adjoins the village of Grenoside and is included on the larger map of Wharncliffe and Greno Woods used for the British Championships in 2011. Safety & risk
A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event. If a competitor has a pre-existing medical condition that they think should be declared, please complete a medical form at enquiries. The sealed envelope will only be opened in an emergency.
SYO has an agreed policy on the taking of photographs at events, based on national guidance.
