Sorry you needed to copy down your own control descriptions if you preferred them separate from the map. We had planned to print loose descriptions but .....
Also, should have put up some direction signs. Put up the SYO banner on the nearest roundabout, which seemed to be quite visible.
To the 2 people who gave up their Short Green maps. A lot more people did Short Green rather than Light Green compared to the event 2 years ago.
An MDOC top and a trimtex top were left at the event. Please contact Paul (see flnal details for his email address).
Runnable woodland with good path network. This is a great orienteering area at any time of year, as the area of difficult vegetation is minimal. New route for HS2 may mean it should stay intact!

Safety & risk
A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event. If a competitor has a pre-existing medical condition that they think should be declared, please complete a medical form at enquiries. The sealed envelope will only be opened in an emergency.
SYO has an agreed policy on the taking of photographs at events, based on national guidance. This provides a sensible balance between the benefits and risks associated with the taking and use of images. If you are unsure about acceptable practice, please speak to the event organiser. Read our photography policy.
