Notice of AGM and latest news
SYO AGM, Club Champs, Awards and Social
The SYO AGM will be held on-line on Saturday 12th December at 4pm. The AGM notice, minutes from 2019 AGM and the accounts from the last financial year are attached.
The AGM will be followed by a virtual award's ceremony and quiz. We will run the quiz via Kahoot! so it should be fairly fast-paced and suitable for all the family. Instructions will follow nearer the time!
We are still hoping to run some form of club champs at Ecclesall Woods during the day on Saturday 12th December, although this will depend on the latest government guidelines for outdoor sport and subsequent permissions from Sheffield City Council.

TOCs / Maprun
Sadly, despite our best efforts, we have not been allowed to put on Temporary Orienteering Courses during Lockdown 2.0. We have uploaded some more courses to Maprun though. More info on our Virtual Orienteering Course page. If you have a Garmin, you might want to try the Maprun G App - the GPS seems a bit more reliable and you don't have to carry your phone with you.
In the recent on-line orienteering competition, SYO put in a good performance with 8 podium positions. This time the competition went back to the World Champs in Scotland using maps and courses from 1999. Well done to:
M12 1st Robbie, 3rd Rory
M16 3rd Euan
M20 3rd Dom
M50 1st Martin, 2nd Nick L
W12 1st Anna
W16 3rd Freya
