British Orienteering Championships
This year the British Orienteering Championships will be held in Yorkshire from 4th -6th May. Day 1 is the mixed sprint relays in Bradford, day 2 the long distance individual race in the Yorkshire Dales and day 3 is the turn of the main relays near to Leeds. More details here.
The cheapest entry deadline for the individual is today - Sunday 3rd February. Enter via Fabian4. If you haven't attended a British Championships before, give it a go and support YHOA. There are A & B classes for juniors and long & short courses for adults. Email Pauline if you have any questions about what course to enter.
The Yorkshire Junior Squad have designed some fabulous O Tops. These need to pre-ordered to get the cheapest price and also guarantee the size you want. All profits will go to the squad. The deadline for pre-orders is 17th March but it's easiest to order when you enter. More details here.
Entries for the mixed sprint relays and British relays are via the club. As long as you can do a yellow course, you can take part and there are plenty of less competitive teams for those that are worried about letting the team down! Please complete the Mixed Sprint Form and the British relays form.
Finally, as all Yorkshire clubs will help deliver the British Champs weekend, we do need some members to help. Profit share is partly based on the number of volunteers a club contributes, so if you are able to help please email Pauline, specifying whether you would prefer to run first or after your helping slot. Volunteers will receive a £6 food voucher.
