World Orienteering Day Event - Wed 23rd May
Come and celebrate World Orienteering Day and enjoy the lovely views and interesting mix of woodland and open heathland on Loxley Common.
Registration & Starts
Registration from 5.45pm-6.45pm in the car park. Starts 6pm to 7pm. Courses close 8pm promptly. If you think you might take a long time, please come early.
Yellow - technically easy - 2km. Ideal for younger juniors.
Orange - technically medium difficulty - 2.3km. A good place for adult beginners to start.
Short Green - technically hard - 3km
Green - technically hard - 5.1km
Blue - technically hard - 6.7km
SI controls and timing will be used. Courses have been planned to avoid the bramblely woodland area!
£5 adults (£4 members), £3 juniors & students. Pairs / family groups pay for one entry, extra map £1. Free to club night block payers. Dibber hire free.
Post Event Social
From 7pm there is a post event social at the Admiral Rodney. Order from the menu on the night at your convenience Please feel free to just join us for a drink if you don't want to eat. All welcome including children.
How to enter
Please email me to order your map by Tuesday 22nd May at 5pm. Please indicate if you are intending to come to the pub so I can reserve enough space.
Control hanging / collecting - help please!
Colin Drury has planned the courses but is away on the day. I really need some people to help hang or collect controls.
