We have arranged a planning workshop for Tuesday 30th January 7.15pm - 9.30pm. The workshop will be led by Pete Tryner and Charlie Adams and focuses on how to plan good courses.
This is different to the last workshop which looked at the responsibilities of the planner and how to use the planning software. You do not need to have attended the first workshop to attend this one. It is suitable for planning novices and planners who wish to improve their skills.
The workshop will be held at 130 Psalter Lane, S11 8YU. Light refreshments will be provided.
If you would like to attend please email Pauline.
Planner required for Parkwood Springs - Saturday 24th March
SYO are holding a local and schools league event on Saturday 24th March at Parkwood Springs. As of yet we don't have a planner!
Planning a schools' league event is a reasonably straight forward task as we tend to re-cycle courses every 2 years. The planner would need to check control sites are still suitable and make any required adjustments to the courses from white to long orange. A new course for adults would need to be planned. On the day the planner will need to supervise the putting out & collecting of controls but help will be provided.
Offers form experienced or complete novice planners would be very gratefully accepted. Please email Pauline if you can help.
