2017 Club Champs, Awards & AGM - Sat 2nd December
The 2017 SYO AGM is being held at HSBC Sports and Social Club (entrance off Limb Lane), 49 Hathersage Rd, Sheffield S17 3AA on Saturday 2nd December and will commence at 2 pm immediately after the Club Champs lunch.

Audited and signed accounts for the year ended 31 May 2017 for approval.
The AGM will be preceded by the annual SYO fun orienteering event, club lunch and annual awards. It is all very informal and a great opportunity to socialise and recognise those who have contributed to the club through volunteering and orienteering talent.
The event format is a handicapped score with a secret twist – runners are heavily handicapped to allow newcomers to compete against British Champions!
Members should gather from 10.45 ready to run at 11am from Whirlowbrook Hall. The score event will last around 50 minutes with the aim that everyone will finish at the same time. It is suitable for all, regardless of age or experience. There will also be a yellow course available for children and the less confident, (although children who can't complete a yellow on their own should be accompanied by an adult).
After the race, we will gather (around 12.45pm) at the HSBC Sports and Social Club (49 Hathersage Road, Dore, Sheffield. S17 3AA) for a substantial ‘Christmas Curry’ at 1pm. This will include a range of naans, poppadoms, onion bhajis and vegetable samosas. Lunch will be followed by a very brief AGM and the annual awards ceremony.
You are very welcome to just take part in the event or just come to lunch. You can also just turn up for the AGM.
Costs: (payable on the day)
Lunch (run included) £10 adults and over 12s, £7 children 5-12, Free for under 5s.
Run only £2 adults, £1 juniors and full-time students.

Please come along and support your club. It would be fantastic to get as many members there as possible. Last year over 90 members attended - it will be great to beat that number this year!
